Welcome 2022: my finances and plans

Once again, a day earlier. I hope you had a good time with family and friends, and I want to wish you a prosperous 2022.

To conclude 2021 and begin 2022, I want to share my finances and plans for the future. Why did I leave a job that was earning about $96,000? With the $110,000 that I had accumulated, what am I doing with it? That is what I talk about in this recent blog post.

Discoveries

Book The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ Demarco This is a roast over the conventional way of living, which is the “slowlane” and “sidewalk”. Excellent book I’m reading at the moment, which gave me inspiration for this recent blog post.
Book The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz Another excellent book that I’m currently reading. One thing I learnt is that success starts with you. Instead of coming up with excuses, find a way to make your dreams come true.
Podcast The Diary of A CEO E111 — The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck: Mark Manson Mark Manson talks about this early life and career. He speaks wisdom about money, where having more of it doesn’t fix problems. He also mentions how after the success of his breakthrough book, “Subtle Art…” he felt empty. It shows that we always need something to strive towards.
